The Nuvias Unified Communications Practice, formerly SIPHON, has enhanced its proposition for collaborative workplace infrastructure by adding the complete portfolio of Polycom video and collaboration products to its existing offering of Polycom voice end-points.

Cwmbran, UK: 7th August 2017

This enhanced offering, which now includes all Polycom voice, video and collaboration products, means that the channel partners in the UK can look to the Unified Communications practice of Nuvias for all of their real-time requirements based on Polycom portfolio. Nuvias UC has demonstrated its comprehensive knowledge and expertise across the full Polycom estate which was confirmed recently with the announcement of its RealPresence Service Specialisation (RPSS) accreditation.

As well as the RPSS accreditation, Nuvias understands the commercial and technical nuances that surround video collaboration and occupies a unique market position in the planning, enablement and support of total UC deployments. Nuvias UC offer network readiness assessments for open SIP environments and health checks of potential Skype for Business (SfB) environments to support channel partners with successful implementation.

Harpreet Grewal, Polycom Vendor Business Manager at Nuvias UC, said; “Our longstanding strategic partnership with Polycom means we are best placed to link the two worlds of voice and video. By providing a single point of contact for all of our customers’ voice, video and collaboration requirements, we simplify the engagement for channel players who wish to offer real-time services based on this broad portfolio from Polycom.”

Ed House, Sales Director of UC Distribution (UK & I) at Nuvias UC adds; “Today, the channel sees the key opportunity as one that combines the best of unified communications and collaboration rather than simply voice and video, which was the case even a few years ago.”

House, continues; “Now we have access to the entire range of Polycom products, designed for both open SIP and Microsoft environments, we’re looking to replicate the level success we have had with Polycom Audio, utilising our expertise in Broadsoft and Microsoft Gold Communications Partner status.”

Glynn Jones, VP EMEA Channels and Advanced Technology Polycom Group at Polycom said; “The advantages of distance collaboration in real time to drive business performance improvement has been widely accepted for some time. Nuvias UC, formerly SIPHON, has a proven pedigree in the distribution of Polycom’s Voice Solutions portfolio and is always advancing its knowledge as we bring new Polycom products to market. Therefore, it’s a natural progression to add the full suite of Polycom video products to Nuvias UC’s portfolio. There are a wealth of opportunities for Nuvias UC to enable Skype for Business solutions through the channel that incorporate voice, video and content. Partners can make full use of the specialist skill-set and value that Nuvias UC has finely honed.”
