Cwmbran, 24th February 2011 - SIPHON Networks today announced that 8el will continue to re-enforce their network with the market leading Acme Packet Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and have recently expanded their platform to support their increased growth in traffic. The Net-Net 4250 SBCs are deployed in a high-availability (HA) configuration and the hardware and software upgrade delivered by SIPHON has enabled 8el to continue to grow its subscriber traffic on this platform and to cater for the projected subscriber growth.

"We have been working with SIPHON and Acme Packet over the last few months and prior to evaluating other solutions in the marketplace,” said Phil O’Keeffe, Technical Director at 8el. “We have been impressed again and again by the support and partnership capabilities made available by SIPHON across all SIP based platforms and services and continue to work strongly together."

"We started to work with 8el quite recently and have now fully completed this upgrade without any service impact and have set the platforms ready to support long term growth" states Steve Harris, Managing Director at SIPHON Networks. "8el are another customer where our experience and pedigree in delivering strong support fully justified their continued use of Acme Packet solutions".
